Major transmission pipelines present a different set of supply challenges, particularly when it comes to large volumes of high-yield line pipe, often delivered to remote corridor locations with strict dimensional and mechanical property requirements and no margin for delivery failure. STS has extensive experience managing the supply chain complexity of large diameter LSAW and SAWL line pipe delivery to Australian pipeline projects, including urgent replacement supply where incoming material has been rejected. Our offerings also include high-quality carbon capture steel and offshore structural steel to support various infrastructure needs.

Downstream processing plants, LNG facilities, and storage terminals require a broad range of structural and process piping steel, including essential carbon capture steel, offshore structural steel, and standard carbon steel structural packages. This extends to high-temperature CrMo alloy systems, stainless, duplex, and nickel alloy piping designed for corrosive and high-purity process services.

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is emerging as a critical component of Australia's decarbonisation strategy, with multiple CCS projects progressing across the country. The CO₂ injection, transportation, and storage infrastructure presents a distinct set of requirements for carbon capture steel, including high-pressure pipe and fittings rated for CO₂ service, materials compatible with the corrosive properties of wet CO₂ streams, and offshore structural steel for surface and subsurface facility construction. 

STS is actively developing its pipeline supply capability in this area, collaborating with project teams at the early stages of CCS project development to identify appropriate material specifications and build reliable supply routes for what remains a technically specialist procurement category.
